We’re moving on! The reserves have advanced to the semifinals of the OPP

The second team of Polonia Warsaw has advanced to the semifinals of the Regional Polish Cup! The reserves defeated Escola Varsovia 3:1 in the quarterfinals, with goals from Eryk Mikołajewski, Jewhen Radionov, and Eryk Kowalkiewicz. In the fight for the final, the Czarne Koszule will play next Wednesday at Sahara against the leaders of the fourth league, Ząbkovia Ząbki.

After a balanced first half, both teams went to the locker room with a score of 1:1. The hosts took the lead in the 42nd minute, but just before halftime, Eryk Mikołajewski equalized with a header from a corner kick. Early in the second half, Jewhen Radionov extended our team’s lead by converting a penalty in the 48th minute. Eryk Kowalkiewicz sealed the match at 3:1 in the 61st minute, scoring after a precise assist from Radionov, who had made a run into the penalty area.

This victory allowed our team to advance to the semifinals of the Regional Polish Cup under the Mazovian Football Association. In this stage of the competition, the Czarne Koszule will face the fourth league leaders, Ząbkovia Ząbki, who easily defeated KTS Weszło 3:0 in the quarterfinals on home soil.

The match for the OPP final will take place next Wednesday, October 16, on the side pitch at Konwiktorska 6. The exact kickoff time for this match will be announced shortly through our social media, which is worth following at this time.
