Huragan defeated. Three points stay at “Sahara.”
Polonia II Warsaw defeated Huragan Wołomin 3:2 at home in the 10th round of the fifth league.
The reserve team, led by coach Damian Falkowski, took the lead in the 32nd minute thanks to a penalty scored by Yevhen Radionov. The experienced forward, playing for the second team since the start of this season, doubled our lead in the 45th minute, finishing off a pass from Nikita Vasin.
Twenty minutes before the end of regular time, the visitors from Wołomin managed to pull one back with a goal from Trzonkowski. This conceded goal only motivated our players further. In the 80th minute, Adrian Rowicki scored to make it 3:1, confidently converting a penalty.
The guests managed to score one more goal, courtesy of Płoszek, in the 89th minute. These three points allowed our team to climb to third place in the standings. At this moment, the Czarne Koszule are seven points behind the promotion spot.
Polonia II Warsaw is still in contention for the final triumph in the Okręgowy Puchar Polski under the Mazovian Football Association. In the semifinals, the Capital’s pride will face the fourth league leader, Ząbkovia Ząbki, at home. The match is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, at 3:00 PM on the auxiliary field at the stadium on Konwiktorska 6
