We are extremely pleased to announce that Krzysztof Bąkowski has become a new player for Czarni Koszul. The 20-year-old Poznan-born goalkeeper joined our team on a six-month loan from Lech Poznan.

Krzysztof Bąkowski took his first football steps at the Wary Poznań academy, from which in 2015, at the age of 12, he moved to the nursery of local rival Lech. There he went through all levels of training, playing in the Central Junior League and the Kolejorz reserve team, respectively.

He did not make his debut in the first team of Lech Poznań. Instead, he gathered football experience in Stal Rzeszow and Stomil Olsztyn, to which he was loaned. In the team from Podkarpacie he played 14 matches at the level of the first league, in which he let in 17 goals and scored three clean sheets. He played two more matches in the Pride of Warmia, letting in 27 goals and recording two clean sheets.

I am very happy to move to a club with such a great history as Polonia Warsaw. I don’t hide a lot of excitement about it, because I am hungry to play and win with my new team. I hope that my time in Warsaw will be very fruitful for me, and that with my attitude in training and matches I will help the team achieve the goals they set for themselves at the beginning of the season. To all the people at the club responsible for acquiring me, I thank them for the trust they have placed in me, and I will do my best to repay them with a good attitude on the pitch,” admitted our new acquisition immediately after signing the contract – said Krzysztof Bąkowski.

He spent the autumn round of the current season in the premier league Radomiak Radom. He appeared on the pitch in green colors twice – once in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa (won 3:2 match against Zagłębie Lubin) and once in the Fortuna Polish Cup (lost 1:2 match against Garbarnia Kraków).

In addition, our new player regularly plays for Poland’s youth national teams, starting with the under-15 team and ending with the under-21 team, in which he played three matches.

Krzysiek, welcome to #K6.
