The fourth victory in a row became a fact! On Sunday evening, we defeated Pogoń Siedlce away 4:2, thanks to which we advanced to eighth place in the table.

Compared to the 3-0 win against Odra Opole, Mariusz Pawlak decided to make three changes in the starting lineup. Ilkay Durmus, Dani Vega and Oliwier Wojciechowski were replaced by Marcel Predenkiewcz, Ernest Terpiłowski and Krzysztof Koton. However, the changes did not negatively affect the team’s attitude and form, which has been increasing day by day in recent weeks.

Pride of Stolica took the lead in the 25th minute after a goal by Łukasz Zjawiński, who found his best position in the penalty area after a cross from the right side of the field by Nikodem Zawistowski and headed the ball into the net. It was the only goal in the first 45 minutes, in which the game took place mainly in the central zone of the pitch, and both teams had relatively few scoring opportunities.

A few seconds into the second half, we could have increased our lead. Marcel Predenkiewicz found himself in a favorable situation to score a goal, but he overshot it by just a small margin. A dozen or so seconds later, the ball hit the crossbar with great force after Przemysław Szur’s shot from outside the penalty area. Our attacks finally resulted in a goal by Ernest Terpiłowski in the 70th minute, although much of the credit for this was due to Erjon Hoxhallari. The Albanian decided to run down the left side of the pitch and then, with a precise ground pass along the goal, he served Ernest, who just had to put his foot in and direct the ball into the net. The third goal for the Pride of the Capital was thanks to an own goal by Oskar Krzyżak. Łukasz Zjawiński started and ended this match by shooting for Polonia. Zjawa confidently converted the penalty kick in the 86th minute.

In the following minutes, the hosts were able to score two goals, which in the end did not influence the outcome of the match and the three points returned to Warsaw. It was our fourth victory in a row in the league! We will fight for the next one on September 29 at Konwiktorska 6 in a match against Termalica Nieciecza. Starting at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are now available on our website www.bilety.kspolonia.pl and in-store at Czarna Koszula Sports Bar
