Polish Champion joins Polonia! Paweł Tomczyk in Black Shirts

Not long ago he was scoring goals that helped Piast Gliwice win the Polish championship, he was the fundamental player of the Poland’s youth national teams and one of the top players in Lech Poznan’s academy. Now the 24-year-old forward Pawel Tomczyk is joining Polonia, and his goal is clear. – I want to rebuild, gain confidence, score as many goals as possible and get promoted to the Fortuna I Liga – stresses our new sniper, who in the Kolejorz colors was the Top Scorer of the Central Junior League.

Paweł Tomczyk has been playing in Romania for the past year, first representing the I Liga colors of CS Mioveni and then II Liga ACSM Politechnica Iasi. Before the end of the transfer window, he terminated the contract with his previous employer, allowing him to join the Black Shirts. The player’s contract was signed for six months, with an option for the club to extend it for another year, when certain conditions are met.

This last-minute transfer will surely electrify Konwiktorska fans. Maciej Radaszkiewicz’s helath problems, for whom all of us at the club are waiting and keeping our fingers crossed for a quick return, caused the sports department to look around for a new sniper, who will help us win the coveted promotion. The choice of the Sports Director Piotr Kosiorowski and I Trainer Rafał Smalec is a strong and dynamic forward, with 44 matches in the top league, in which he scored 8 goals and had 4 assists.

Tomczyk has also played at the Fortuna I Liga level in the colors of Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała and Widzew Łódz. Despite his still young age, he has 63 matches, 16 goals and 4 assists in those games. Now he wants to become an important part of the rebuilding process of the Black Shirts. – I have been following with interest the news regarding Polonia. Of course, I will not pretend to know everything, but certainly the Black Shirts and no strangers to me. Being here I want to deepen my knowledge of the club and its history – the player stresses.
